Spiced Apple Pie Porridge
ingredients
- 35g porridge oats
- 1 apple (100g)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp honey
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 150ml milk of choice (we used oat)
- 20g sultanas
- 50ml water
- 1 handful of granola to serve, optional

method
- Chop the apple into small chunks and mix with the cinnamon, ginger and honey. Add to a small saucepan and cook on a medium heat for 5-10 minutes or until soft (you may want to add a splash of water).
- Once soft, remove half the apple and set aside. Use a fork to mash the rest of the apple, stir in the oats, sultanas and the milk and continue to cook on a low to medium head, until you have reached your desired porridge consistency.
- Add the oats to a bowl and top with the apple chunks. Sprinkle over some granola and some honey (if desired). Enjoy!
Top tip: A spoon of natural yoghurt is also a delicious addition to this bowl of oats!
