Homemade Baked Beans
ingredients
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika, plus extra to serve
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
- 400g can mixed beans, drained
- 250g chopped tomatoes
- salt and pepper to taste

method
1. Cook the onion and garlic in the oil until soft. Add the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and the paprika, and cook for a further 1-2 mins until sticky.
2.Tip in the beans, tomatoes and a splash of water, and simmer until thickened. Season to taste.
3. Serve with roasted sweet potatoes and guacamole or on wholemeal toast!
Top tip: These beans can be stored in the fridge for 4 days.
