Food is a major factor to our mood and how we feel. Research shows that a a depressed brain is an inflamed brain, and what we eat largely dictates the amount of inflammation we experience. A balanced diet can help you feel more energised for the day ahead and regular meals help to maintain blood sugar levels and prevent irritability and fatigue.

There is a school of thought that certain nutrients can have a positive impact on your mood, these include:
Omega 3 - found in oily fish, chia seeds, walnuts and flaxseeds.
B Vitamins - found in green leafy vegetables, wholegrains and sweet potatoes.
Fibre - found in wholegrains, oats and fruit and vegetables.
Selenium - found in brazil nuts, tofu, meat and seafood.
Antioxidants - found in nuts, fruit, vegetables and spices.
Probiotics - found in sauerkraut, kimchi, kombucha and live yogurt
